• Account, purchase, and subscription status provided by Apple and RevenueCat.
• Ingredient text, product details, photos, or scan content you choose to submit inside the app.
• Basic app and device information and privacy-safe usage events, such as onboarding completion, scan success or failure, result views, and paywall interactions. We do not send label photos, ingredient text, saved scan content, or your entered name to product analytics.
• Support messages you send to us, including your email address if you contact us.

Subscriptions And Payments

Payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your full payment card details. RevenueCat helps us manage subscription status and restore purchases.

Ingredient checks may include text or photos you submit. Do not upload sensitive personal information. ClearHalal is a decision-support tool and does not provide halal certification, fatwas, or religious authority.

Product analytics

PostHog Analytics

We use PostHog to understand whether people complete onboarding, successfully scan a label, view and save results, and interact with subscription screens. Session replay is disabled. PostHog receives a pseudonymous identifier shared with RevenueCat so that product usage can be understood alongside subscription status; it does not receive label images, ingredient text, saved scan content, your entered name, or free-form error messages.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited information with service providers that help us operate the app, including Apple and RevenueCat for purchases and PostHog for product analytics, as well as hosting, crash reporting, and support providers.

Retention

We keep information only as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. You can request deletion by contacting support.

Choices

Your Choices

You can delete app data from your device, manage subscriptions through your Apple account, and contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of personal information where applicable.

ClearHalal is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate action.
